When you have a workbook that you use often, my advice is to create a template in Excel to ease your workbook experience.
The best way to create a template is to use your existing workbook, turning a workbook into a template just involve saving it, you don’t have to go through any stress.
HOW TO CREATE A TEMPLATE IN EXCEL.
To create a template out of a worksheet you are working on, press the F12 key,
- F12 key: Save As
Select Excel Template (*.xltx) to create a template in Excel. You can re-open and use the template you create any time.
HOW TO OPEN EXCEL TEMPLATES.
Apart from creating a template yourself, Excel gives you a lot of template that you can use.
Most of them are free, some you have to download from Microsoft website from your browser and it’s automatic.
Go to the File tab, to get to the backstage view and select New.
Use the search bar to search for a preferred template and select one.
Excel automatically loads the selected template for you and you can edit and make necessary formatting yourself.
